The story of emissions is a complicated one. Every state will be a little different. Our on road cars are built to pass emissions referee inspections. We will work with you and are happy to contact your state referee before the build to keep them in the loop and verify that you should be able to pass. There is no short cuts or work arounds here. We have designed and built the cars to this level. All GM emissions equipment hardware is installed and running. All the emissions monitors in the OBD2 systems are running and set as GM intended them. We have been through the Nevada Referee and passed. Allowing the owner to register the car as he would any other car.

To build the cars to this level means running a whole list of hardware.

  • GM ECU

  • Catalytic converters

  • 4 02 sensors

  • Charcoal canister

  • Charcoal canister vent solenoid

  • Charcoal canister purge valve

  • Fuel tank pressure sensor

  • GM ECU control of the Porsche Check Engine Light

  • OBD2 port in the Porsche location but connected to the GM ECU

Along with all this hardware, the GM ECU has to be left in a state where it is monitoring all 02 sensors, the Evap system, and have the ability report when something goes wrong. Emissions Referees will be looking for your OBD2 port to be in the Porsche factory location. They will then plug in and test all these systems to make sure they reading the GM ECU and to verify all systems have been made operational.
