Oil Pan
I prefer both the rigidity and OEM look of a cast aluminum pan. This pan is a pretty good casting but does come with a few shortcomings right out of the box. The oil pick-up tube is WAY too short. The internal transfer tubes are meant for an LS1 application not an LS3. The internal baffle is horrific. If it ships with a dipstick, it is not the correct length, and the O-ring is the wrong size.
To fix these shortcomings, I correct the pick-up tube length for you, ship it with an LS1 style wind-age tray, setup the dipstick to be the correct length, and tap the pan to take my supplied NPT fitting instead of using an O-ring.
You may already know that oil starvation can be an issue when under hard cornering. To help with this issue, I designed a baffle to fit inside this cast aluminum "front" (now rear) sump oil pan. My baffle is modeled after the one Improved Racing made for factory GTO pans.
A bolt-in, hidden accumulator will be an additional option in the future.
